Here we go! The first trees are planted! However, the botanists among you will immediately notice that these are not going to be rainforest giants… That’s right! These are cashew seedlings!
We are planting our new rainforest in Sierra Leone / West Africa not against, but with the people. Therefore, in addition to the protection forest, we also finance a much smaller commercial forest.
Tractors, drones or even any technical equipment are absent. Long walks and manual labor are the means of choice in one of the poorest countries in the world. This is good for nature and creates jobs.
Even on today’s #WorldRefugeeDay, our West African commitment is thus not only a contribution to climate protection, but also prevents causes of flight.
