Don’t we all always want to change something? More sport, less sugar, less swearing, more vegetables, less meat, less waste, more nature…?
The most blatant thing happens when we actually move from thought to action. We don’t always have to change everything straight away. Even small steps feel very beneficial. We become the creators of our own reality again and not the plaything of others, of fate. We don’t feel powerless and driven.
We, Marion and Lars, decided four years ago to reforest the rainforest in Sierra Leone. To make a small difference, to take action. We researched and found our way, step by step. We now run a forest nursery that is second to none in West Africa. We grow 30+ local trees, which we provide to the bush villages free of charge if they are willing to reforest their community forests on their own. And our project has been enthusiastically received. Biodiverse forests lead to biodiversity in fauna and flora, and the animals are also returning. And the farmers have a better groundwater table and more fertile soil. Small steps, but what a movement!
You too can make a difference. Never forget that! Every day you create your reality. Maybe it’s the decision to support our project. To plant biodiverse forests with us. And make this world a better place to live in.
