Fighting Climate Change

Our first “Tree Planting Training” was a complete success! Instead of the expected 20, far more than 30 participants came to the remote village of Yana in the Sanda Loko District and all of them were fully engaged, interested and eager to learn. Our trainers Anthony and Saidu were enthusiastic and inspired.

Here in Sierra Leone/West Africa, climate change is now being felt personally by everyone. But how can we fight it? We have successfully communicated this – and it continues. Education, commitment, biodiversity and protected reforestation – these are the four pillars of greenlimba. And now we have certainly found new supporters!

Of course, this is not possible without money, which is why we are very pleased about the “German Cooperation”. The training courses are financed by the “Climate Diplomacy” fund of the Federal Foreign Office, specifically by the German Embassy in Freetown. Many thanks on behalf of everyone involved!
