Our employees in West Africa are beside themselves with joy: Of the more than 7,000 seeds they sowed in the “forest kindergarten” two months ago, 85% to 98% have sprouted in the meantime, depending on the tree variety! We did not expect this in our wildest dreams … In the meantime, reseeding has been done and in July we will go into the open field!
On the one hand, the tree seeds were made to germinate in different plastic containers (including used drinking water bags). On the other hand, with the tentative onset of the rainy season in West Africa, the first areas were prepared for planting. The whole village is on its feet and grabs hold. Our climate forest becomes reality!
