Our entire reforestation program explained in one picture: this year’s young trees on the right, last year’s on the left, and a small rainforest enclave in the background that our smallest new forest area will connect to in the coming years. In the first year, sesame seeds are planted under the very young trees as protection against bushfires. Agricultural land is still abundant, as is building land, despite reforestation. We plant with the people in Sierra Leone/West Africa, create additional jobs and thus enable climate protection that benefits us all.
