Fire against fire

Back in Sierra Leone – and the results on the ground are impressive! Contrary to what was expected according to international studies, significantly more trees have survived so far. However, we will only know the exact percentage after the rainy season in September / October.
What is definitely also worth seeing is this burned strip at the edge of our reforestation area: With this “Fire Belt” we prevent the flames from jumping over to the young trees in case of a possible bushfire. You fight fire with fire.
